Safety Measures:

There is a lot of free explore and playtime at Fiddleheads, but we make sure that it is all done as safely as possible. Safety, physical and emotional, is the number one priority at Fiddleheads. We accomplish this through constant awareness and supervision.

At the park, we have set boundaries. We make sure all the students are aware of the boundaries and monitor to make sure that free play is safe and fun for every student.

We have a school bell that the student’s are taught to respond to immediately upon ringing. This signals that the teacher has an important message and everyone should immediately come to the teacher ringing the bell and wait for next steps.

We have a list of safety guidelines that we spend the beginning of the term outlining for children including safety boundaries, interacting with members of the community, and interacting safely with the forest around us.

We have a set of guidelines in place for in-climate weather conditions that is sent to families before the term begins.

There is always a first aid kit, emergency contact list, water, and extra food at the school with the teachers at all times. All teachers are also first aid and CPR certified.
